Who we are
About Safe Cities
Our Impact
Safe Cities is a community-based organisation established in 2006 by a group of concerned community residents and religious leaders. We initially conducted surveys within areas such as Bishop Lavis, Manenberg and Atlantis, and found that the interests and needs of our community were drug awareness, unemployment, school dropouts and petty crimes. We were trained by representatives from Target Area Development on organised training, which equipped us on how to mobilise area residents and empower them to take responsibility and action within themselves and their community.
